Invitation to HousErasmus+ regional conference in Madrid, January 23-24th 2017.

Invitation to HousErasmus+ regional conference in Madrid, January 23-24th 2017.

The Erasmus Student Network, Compostela Group of Universities, European University Foundation and UNICA Network of Universities are orginising the South-European Regional HousErasmus+ Conference which will be held in Madrid, Spain on January 23-24th.

The event aims to bring together stakeholders within the field of student housing and international students in order to exchange best practices and learn from the European-wide research the HousErasmus+ project has been undertaking in the past year. The event will be in an interactive setting, exploring the latest results of the project research and what policy recommendations can be made for your country and region about student housing and international student support.

As a result of this dialogue, we hope to create a better picture of good practices in student housing, an awareness of the obstacles and develop a forward-looking approach, discussing the policy changes that universities, cities, student organisations and housing providers can adopt to improve the housing situation for international students.

This event will give you a unique chance to meet with all stakeholders in the field of student housing, helping you better understand other stakeholders’ perspective as well as increase your network. As a university representative, you will spend the first day in a training with student representatives to learn about best practices you could implement in your university to increase the support you provide. The second day will be a chance to participate in a conference with policy-makers and housing providers from the region and gain additional insights on this field. We really hope to see you there.

We have limited funds to cover the participation of people and we would therefore like you to contact us should you be interested to be considered for funding. Self-funded participation is highly encouraged and should that be a possibility for you, we invite you to contact us so you can register yourself and let us know you are coming.

Should you be interested, please contact Jeremy Apert, the project coordinator at house-erasmus@esn.org latest on the 23rd of December 2016.

We are at your disposal for any further information you may need.

Thank you for your attention.
Best Wishes,

The HousErasmus+ team
